BIOGRAPHY

Soprano, Alexia Martins is a Portuguese-Canadian Singer. Her passion for singing has led her to pursue an education in music and performance. 

​

Alexia has most recently won first place in 'Voz de Festival' (Voice of the Festival) competition at the 2021 Festival Portugal International de Montreal. 

​

Throughout her education Alexia has worked with Sarah Mossman, Michelle Beth Herman John Mac Master, and Andrew Chappelle (Original cast member from Broadway's Hamilton). 


As of 2015, Alexia has been affiliated with the Orchestre Philharmonique et Choeur des Mélomanes (OPCM) that is conducted by Francis Choiniére. Her affiliations with the OPCM has widened her experiences through performances with Ramin Djawadi, Hans Zimmer, Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. Alexia has performed with the OPCM at Place-des-Arts, Place Bell, Centre Bell, 2017 Juste pour rire Festival, Carnegie Hall, Canadian Tire Stadium, TD Place Stadium and La Maison Symphonique.

Alexia has performed the Canadian National Anthem at the Centaur theatre and at Marianopolis College graduation ceremonies. Alexia has most recently performed the Portuguese and Canadian Anthem at the Saint-Jean Baptist Church for Portugal day. She has performed Medlesson's Midsummer Night's Dream at the National Arts Center with the Calixa Lavallee chorus. In June 2022 she performed at the Rialto theatre for the 2022 Festival de Portugal International de Montreal 9th edition. Her most recent performances have been at the Club Portugal de Montreal for Grandparents day, Radio Centre Ville  and the 2023 Festival de Portugal International de Montreal 10th edition.
